Roles and Responsibilities
While the child is in school, the school is expected:
• To assume overall responsibility for the welfare of the student during their period of tenure at the school.
• To provide a suitable academic programme to meet the needs of the individual which will prepare them as best as possible for higher education.
• To provide suitable guidelines for students to follow which will enable them to settle into school life and obtain maximum benefit from their time there.
• To exercise a fair and consistent policy for all students regarding academic, moral and social standards expected of them.
• To communicate efficiently and effectively at all times with students, their parents and guardians.
As Guardians, OPDS assumes the following responsibilities:
• Maintenance of good records including up-to-date information on every student.
• Assisting with arrangements and support during their time in the UK.
• Representing the student fairly when required to do so. Note that this does NOT necessarily mean taking the student's side.
• To deliver everything we promise, to the highest standards possible thereby obtaining complete confidence from the students and their parents but not to promise anything we cannot deliver.
